And if so, what is the best way to make them
permanent? The answer to these two questions is
yes, for the first, and “the rack” and
exercises for the second. Just about everyone
knows about the rack used for bone and
body-stretching torture in the middle ages. If
the torturers stopped after a minute or two,
and left the victim attached, their body parts
would eventually adjust and they would be okay,
depending on how much they had been stretched.
Now, this is a dramatic tactic to resort to in
order to be taller, but it would have worked!
The same thing applies to penis extenders,
except the stretching is so slight and so
gradual that no discomfort is experienced.
Clearly the penis is a different type of body
part to say, an arm, because the penis does not
have any bones. You could stretch a tongue much
more than a nose because one is flexible and
the other is not.
When cells are exposed to
sustained tension they break into two, and the
tissue can enlarge. This has to be so right, to
allow for growth of the human body. When people
put on weight, the cells in that part of the
body stretch to cope with it. Sometimes the
cells can shrink back a little without much
side effect, as they are so elastic, but more
often than not there will be evidence, as it
pregnancy stretchmarks in women.
In the
penis the two most important aspects are the
three main chambers that swell when they are
engorged with blood, and the outer covering
that binds them all together. The chambers are
the corpus cavernosa and the outer covering the
tunica albuginea. We think of it as a “tunic”
for the penis, a nice little jacket just the
right size that can be taken out by a tailor to
allow for growth!
Now the neat thing about
this tunic is that it is made up mostly of
protein structures, collagens and elastins. The
elastins allow the tissue to stretch when
erect. Certain cells that generate these
proteins are called fibroblasts, and they
multiply and produce more connective tissue
when brought under sustained stress.
But
also when subject to tension, the tunica
fibroblasts get to work making more elastin,
and in turn allow for yet more stretching.
What kind of gains can one expect? According to
the "Tractive Elongation of the Penis by Means
of Stretching" study presented at the 1st
International Interdisciplinary Symposium on
Genitourinary Reconstructive Surgery in
Barcelona, Spain, 18 patients who wore a
traction device 12 hours a day for six months
achieved an average gain of 24 percent.
Our
brave penis stretch reviewer wore the extender
on and off over the course of a year for about
four hours a day, only one third of the max 12
hours a day, and achieved an erect gain of
about 1.5 inches.
Ultimately the gains achieved
are likely to reflect the time someone is willing to
put into this. The more a man wears it, the longer it
gets. This is a long-term project.
Penis
enlargement gains
can also be achieved by use of
male enhancement
pills combined with
penis exercises. Both of
these expand the capacity of the penis to take blood,
which is the basis of an erection. This is discussed
further in other reports on this site.
